Damith S. Bandara

Of course I'm still trying to figure out how I am. However, I have an idea of who I am. My name is H.M.P. Damith Saumya Bandara. I am 20 years old. My home town is Bandarawela. There are five members in my family. Those are father, mother, brother, sister and me. I was educated at B/Heeloya Sumangala college and B/Bandarawela Center College. I passed the O/L and A/L examinations with a credits. Now I undergraduate at University of Visual and Performing Arts. I hope to complete my music degree within a 4 years. I am an honest person. Some's are tell to me I am too redical boy, but I am peaceful person. Some times I work at wery slowly but I can manage my works and time.  I have six all Island certificates and more than 100 Provincial and Divisional certificates, and I have a provincial medls in Kik Boxing. I think I have special talent of music. So, l practice continuonsly develop to my skils. I have small plant nursery with about 3000 plants, and I work there during my leisure ...

  I would like to describe to describe 3 special experiences I had over a period of twenty one years.... The first is the time I spend as a school prefect. I was able to work at a student leader from grade 9 to grade 11 😀. I was removed from the prefect due to an incident, that happened in grade 11 😔. However, the experience I gained during  that period is still very important today 👍👍👍. The second is my A/L school life 😃. I was able to qualify for Bandarawela Center College based on the results of the GCE ordinary Level examination 😊. There l made new friends and new teachers 😇. That experience was also extremely important to me... The third is that I joined a band. After school I didn't have a specific band. I watched the teledrama for a long time. However, now I'm out of that habit. The reason for that is I am not getting the enjoyment expect from current teledramas. However, I have watched of the special teledramas. Those are "Kumbiyo, Appachchi,Thanamalwila Kollek,Sahodaraya and Sathya". Of those, the best teledrama I was impressed with was "Sahodaraya"...  The teledrama is written and directed by Namal Jayasinha, produced by Jayantha Weliwita, Music director by Kasun Kalhara and Music composition by Lahiru Dananjana.   I had the opportunity to participate in all Island music competition since 2011 🎶 but 2019 All Island Competition is special to me. Because, it was the last time I represented the school. I participated in that competition in the grade 13. Our team representing Bandarawela Center College, competed in the senior mixed category under the title of Ragadari Classical Singing Drupad. There were thirteen girls and ten boys in our group. Mrs. Deepa Gunawardana coached our group as a music teacher. At the regional level we won the wave uncontested. We made up for our shortcomings and participated in the provincial competition. So, we were able to win that competition. Then we added more elements and practiced for the all Island Competition. After a good competition, our team was able to win the first place in the title of Ragadari Dhrupad singing competition in the 2019 All Island School Music Competition. 🎶🥇 We also won the Best Feature Award.   I participate in the school Educational Tour in 2016. At that time, I was studying in grade 11 at B/Heeloya Sumangala college. The trip lasted three days. That time was special to us. The principal and the head teachers of the classes and section were involved in it😃👍.                                                                                        The trip focused on the special location in the Western and South provinces.   This is at interesting incident that happened a few weeks ago. One  day morning we suddenly neared a rumble in the kitchen but there is no one in the kitchen 😶.
